What is a PBX?
A PBX (Private Branch eXchange) is a telephone exchange that serves a particular business or office, as opposed to one that a common carrier or telephone company operates for many businesses or for the general public.
What will it do for me?
We are basically offering companies the ability to have a slice of big business technology for a small price. Your PBX is hosted by us so there is no hardware at your premises and you have nothing to maintain. Your PBX has thousands of features one of which is voice menus and call queues.
You may want one UK telephone number where your customers are greeted by a professional menu to direct them to any office in the world i.e. "press 1 for Leeds, press 2 for London" e.t.c. We can then create inter - office menus to direct them to departments. You can also dial an extension directly from the menu and go straight to the intended recipient. There are too many features to mention however if you are a large company we can do you justice and if you are a small company we can improve your image and allow you look dynamic and more professional.
Do I have to be a big company to have your PBX telphone system?
Absolutely not!
We do require you to have a minimum of 5 extensions per PBX installation however that may be split however you like. For example you may have 3 office phones, 1 phone at home and one extension on your cell phone so that you can ring each of these phones in your ring group absolutely free.
How is a VOIP PBX better than a normal office telephone system?
Reduce Cost: With a Babelisk VOIP telephone system you will enjoy free calls throughout your own office network - worldwide, as well as lower call costs than over standard PSTN networks.
Flexible System: Set up a fully functioning office anywhere a broadband connection is available, including home offices and for telecommuters.
Improve efficiency: Route calls directly to staff thus reducing receptionist workload. In some cases small companies decide not to employ a receptionist and save on costs. Your PBX also has many features that get your calls to you like call hunting. We can set a call to ring many numbers to search for you should you not be at your desk allowing you freedom to leave the office and still take calls. Your clients are non the wiser and impressed that you are contactable away from your desk.
Simplify procedures: A simple office infrastructure that supports all forms of communication allowing a standardisation of equipment and a single cabling network. Generally a more simplified operating system.
Quick to Install and Easy to Upgrade: A VOIP system is based on software rather than hardware making it easy to alter, upgrade and maintain. It can be expanded inline with your company growth plans, and adapts easily to your changing telecoms requirements.
What do you install at my premises?
This all depends on the size of the installation and the amount of lines that you require. First we will asses your needs then when you are happy with our PBX design and the costs involved we will sign you up with our DSL supplier.
Next if you require a network (cable) installation then we will undertake this after your DSL line (internet connection) is live. Finally we will install the phones on the desks and train your staff. All you will have on the premises is a small server box on the wall next to your DSL connection and your phones on the desks.
Are there any hidden costs?
Absolutely not!
The cost of the install is set out for your approval and we will also undertake an ROI (return on investment) report to confirm to you when your installation costs will be repaid to you from the expected savings on your monthly telephone bills. All we need is your total phone costs including cell phones and three months bills from each supplier. We can then see what areas you call most and where your savings will come from.
Once you are using our system you have your own administrative login to our web site where you can look at your live telephone bill (updated every 60 seconds) to manage your call costs within each calendar month. We email you your bill at the end of each month and we store these bills online for you for upto 7 years. We also offer all our clients free online office facilities with our partner ZOHO so that you can run your business and store your data online and away from your premises.
